Overview
A hybrid succulent originating from a cross between Aloe and Gasteria species. This evergreen plant features unique dark foliage that can turn nearly black under optimal light conditions. Compact and low-maintenance, it is ideal for succulent collections and can thrive in various light settings. Grows to 8-12 inches in height and about 1 foot in width, forming a dense rosette of narrow, knobby leaves with soft, tiny teeth along the margins. Cold hardy down to 25-30°F, it can withstand light frost but should be protected or brought indoors in colder areas. This plant is well-suited for USDA zones 9 to 11.
