Agave xylonacantha
Also Known As: Saw Leaf agave
Overview
In a nod to one of Agave xylonacantha's most striking features it used to be named after the teeth of the Great White Shark! This Agave is also unique in that it forms relatively few of it's convoluted, sword-shaped leaves when compared to other agaves. It produces a basal rosette of up to 6 ft in diameter and 3 to 4 ft in height. Monocarpic flowering stalks can reach a height of 11 feet. It is a close relative of Agave lophantha.
